I feel the Thai culture and families raise very good children, but the late teen transition and early adult growth lack direction. It could be due to a lack of opportunity, desire, or ability the same as any of us. To me, it seems specifically intense with young men. My impression is they are pleasantly aimless, which I find annoying and admirable.
An early childhood here and later education in a Western university could be the best of both worlds if timed properly. There are no schools that can teach you the cultural experiences of living in different nations at any time in our lives, especially as children.
